Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Had high hopes seeing them smoking meat out from around the clock. But they must sell that somewhere else because the food I've eaten has no smoke flavor. Don't go here.

Not very good at all. The pulled pork clearly had not been cooked long enough and was tough and tasteless. The potato salad was runny and sour. I can not recommend this place.

This place is great. The food is tasty, the portions are good, and the price is right. I've travelled all around the country trying bbq and this place does it right. My number one bbq joint in the fwb area. The people are also very nice. This place is on the eastbound side of Mary Esther cutoff right before the home depot.

I've had much better pulled pork at home. The potato salad was runny and lacked flavor. The baked beans had an odd spice in them. My 7 year old didn't like the mac n cheese...looks just like boxed mac n cheese. the food did not sit well with me at all....better off at sonny's or Jim n nicks

Stopped here to eat for date night. It's a nice little family owned place. Our server was very entertaining and was always making sure our drinks were full and are needs were met. The food was average when I got my plate the meat had a little more fat then I would have liked. The portions are nice and the price is very affordable. Worth the stop I would go back.

The delicious smoke smell pulled me into this place late in the afternoon after I'd skipped lunch. It was labeled as a BBQ place with a "South of the Border" flavor. Inside the sombrero and Mexican flags were a weird juxtaposition with the BBQ Pork sign complete with the pig in the chefs hat. The place was quiet except for the TV running Fox News and one other couple waiting for their order. A couple of take-out orders went out while I was there, and a family was behind a half-wall obviously enjoying their day out. I went through the menu and saw the Tex-Mex offerings, but the smoker had brought me in so I went for the sampler platter with sides of coleslaw and baked beans, with sweet tea of course. Classic BBQ right? My waitress was friendly and eager to please and the meal came out quickly. It looked good, and smelled good too. The chef obviously was going to let the smoke do the talking--no sauce whatsoever on any of the meat. The plate featured chicken, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. I want to tell you that it was the best I've ever had, but I can't. I found it to be bland, and the crust on the ribs made them difficult to eat. I decided to try it with some of the BBQ sauce that was prepositioned at the table. A mild and a spicy were offered in large plastic squeeze bottles. The bottles were cold, so they'd recently been taken out of the refrigerator. I had mixed feelings about this. I'm always reluctant to handle these bottles since I only have control over my own hand washing. It was, however good to see that these bottles weren't being left out all the time. I threw caution to the wind and gave the sauce a try. I couldn't tell them apart. They both seemed pretty mild to me. Maybe I should have shaken them up first? The meat was fatty and I left quite a bit on the plate--and even with that I probably ate more than I should have. The sides were mixed. My coleslaw was excellent but the beans were not very good and I left them behind. The toast was toasted on only one side, so it was crispy and golden on one side and cold and spongy on the other. I never saw the bottom of my plastic sweet tea cup thanks to my friendly server, who quickly brought me my check as her shift was over and she was eager to leave. I paid up (a very cheap $15.50 plus tip) and walked out-overfull and just a little disappointed. Even as I walked away however, that smoke sure smelled good.

I took a chance on this place because I had tried their pull pork sandwich at a military appreciation event in town. I liked it so I decided to eat there again. I got the pulled pork plate, the meat was tasty and cooked well. I did not like the sauce at all, it was too sweet for my taste. The mac and cheese wasn't bad but the potato salad was not that good. All in all, I probably would not eat here again any time soon. i know better bbq places than here.

We stopped to try this new place and we were pleasantly surprised. It's small and not fancy kind of a mom and pop place. The food is plentiful and really good. They offer two kinds of BBQ sauce one regular and one hot, both are good. The coleslaw was great! Nice and crunchy without too much mayo in. Prices are also really good and won't break your bank.
